Stamp and Hollis are called to investigate a domestic disturbance at the home of the Parker family, and discover that Tom has once again beaten his wife, Fern. Webb tries to convince Fern to leave Tom, but his efforts are in vein - as later that day, Stamp and Hollis are asked to attend the property once again and find Tom dead on the kitchen floor. Meanwhile, Sim investigates a campaign of abuse against a local bar, but soon discovers that the owner may himself be responsible in order to frame his closest rival.
