Ashley struggles to contain his fury following the argument the previous day and informs Bishop George that he has decided to resign from his post. The bishop urges him to reconsider his sacrifice but the hotheaded vicar goes home and tells Laurel that from now on it is just them and Gabby. Over at Home Farm, Sadie is outraged to discover that Jimmy has withdrawn the savings from their bank account. When she confronts her husband he quickly covers by explaining that he bet the money on a horse. Meanwhile, Eric cheers up Lisa who is upset that Zak hasn’t bought her a birthday present.
