Hal calls Emily and surprises her with the news that he has arranged for her to stay with Tom and Margo now that James has returned to town. Emily is reluctant, but Margo eventually convinces her to stay with them for a couple of days. At the hospital, Emily taunts Barbara that Hal cared enough to set up a safe place for her while James was in town and he didnt do anything for Barbara.
