During a storm the Farthing animals head into a town and when they find that they cannot travel any further in such conditions they come across a church. Mole finds an entrance into the building through some loose bricks in a wall. The animals safe from the elements settle down for the night. However in the morning humans entering the church awake them. Frightening each other chaos ensues and the animals cause further mayhem in their desperation to escape.
