In her gambling addiction, LKA officer Laura Wagner has developed a dangerous device that disables vehicles using electromagnetic impulses (EPW). When she is chasing the mafia courier Enrico Serpente on the highway with a suitcase full of money, she uses the device and causes a serious accident in which she steals the suitcase. Tom and Semir initially investigate the case, but assume it was a random accident. But they discover that this is already the third incident in which vehicle electronics have been destroyed and that Serpente works for the mafia boss Alesso Corto.
