Tom Kranich's first day with the highway police starts off fast: he's late and crashes his bike into an old Benz. The driver, Susanne, is on her way to Aachen with her niece. Her passenger is businessman Ed. Susanne offers to drive Tom to the station. He accepts the offer, gets in the car and the drama begins: the accelerator has jammed, the car is speeding along.
