Eric, who was wounded in the explosion protecting Sookie, convinces her that he cannot heal himself with silver bullets lodged in his body. Sookie sucks out the bullets, ingesting some of his blood. Bill later reveals that Eric will now be capable of sensing her feelings, and that she may begin to become attracted to Eric sexually stating that "Eric was determined to make this bond with you." Back in Bon Temps, Hoyt tells Jessica that he wants her to meet his mother. A badly-bruised Tara and Eggs awake to Maryann, and discuss blacking out again the night before. Maryann waxes poetic about the importance of losing control and the necessity for chaos which allows them to "ignite with their god". Back in Dallas, Sookie heads to Jason's room where, flipping through channels, they find the Reverend Newlin and Mrs. Newlin on television, bickering with Nan Flanagan (apparent leader of the American Vampire League), and the Newlins reveal that Godric volunteered himself to be taken by the Fellowship of the Sun at the L.O.D.I. Sookie and Jason then reflect on their recent adventure, and end up bonding over being the only remaining members of their family.
