Andrew McGarry (@beyondcontent) signale sur twitter que certaines compagnies aériennes, et en particulier Ryanair, utiliseraient les cookies pour voir si le client s’intéresse à certains billets en particulier, et ajustent les prix (à la hausse) en fonction des intérêts du client.
Il donne comme conseil :
Ryanair still using cookie history to inflate prices. My folks saved £100 by deleting cookie from yesterday's browsing session.
1. Price Ryanair Flight
2. Price same flight next day
3. If price increased, delete cookie & browsing history
4. Check again
5. Save €€€
Also, having done this multiple times in recent months, didn't strike me as a coincidence.
Technically it was a saving of £101 but I figured £100 sounded better in a tweet.
So far received tweets saying Jet2 & The Train Line use similar tactic. Can't confirm as no experience personally.
