The Plague Year is a portrait of London in 1665, during one of the worst outbreaks of all time for the Bubonic Plague. It is the story of a society in turmoil, struggling to adapt to a new set of rules, finding its support during a time of fear, paranoia and suspicion. While Londoners flee en masse, those who remain in the city, whether by choice or fate, find their resolutions tested and old wounds reopened, when faced with an impossible question: how to continue when everything around them is falling apart?
