Hollis returns home from work to find a VHS video which has been posted through his letterbox. The video, which was recorded just hours before Taviner's capture, is a personal message from Taviner to Hollis. On the video, Taviner explains that the noise of a police car is one he used to love, but now hates. He also explains that despite all of his misgivings, he did truly set out to be an upstanding member of the community and lay down the law. He also apologises for his part in the Sun Hill fire, and claims that throughout his career as an officer, Hollis was his best friend. The video finishes with Taviner apologizing for all of the times he was horrible to Hollis, and regrets ever leaving him behind. (thetvdb.com)
