Terry tells Vera that there is nothing left for him in Weatherfield. Vera begs him to stay for Christmas, but Terry sells all of his jewellery and heads for Bournemouth. Distraught by Terry's decision Vera blames Mike for Terry's departure. Alan tells Rita he plans to give up the Yard and raise the finances for a shop.
