With the tenacious resistance of the Turks, the French continue to escalate their pressure. Aziz becomes the leader and takes the Turks behind him showing the French that the Turkish people have no intention of giving in. Due to this determination and bravery being put forth by the Turks; Pierre decides to use all of the power and strength available to him.
